instructor Sophie Cazeneuve

Sophie, a native of France, is a highly skilled professional dancer that specializes in International Latin, West Coast Swing, Salsa and Ballroom. From a young age, she started dancing acrobatic rock n roll and quickly began performing. She competed successfully in France and Europe in International Latin and Standard competitions. Her passion for West Coast Swing led her to become a French champion in 2010. She then decided to move to New York to further pursue her career as an international dancer, and dance instructor. Her focus is on Latin dances, West coast Swing, Salsa and Hustle. In 2012 Sophie was flown to Miami, Florida to record a Nike Commercial. Soon after that she acquired the leadership position at Salsa New York Dance Company. Sophie continues to perform regularly and compete widely in Salsa, West Coast Swing, and International Latin.


instructor Ernesto Palma

Ernesto Palma, A native of Costa Rica, Ernesto started dancing at the tender age of five. He learned to dance Salsa, Merengue, Cha Cha, Bolero, Cumbia, Reggae, and Folklore – all in the traditional “Latin” way. Upon relocating to the United States, he quickly learned all the American Social Styles of Ballroom Dancing….Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Rumba, Bolero, Samba, Cha Cha, East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, and more. Ernesto complements his partner dancing with Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Modern Dance in the Horton and Dunham techniques; and studies at The Alvin Ailey Dance Center and Broadway Dance Center. Before joining the Stepping Out family, Ernesto taught American Style Dance for three years at the T.C. Dance Club in Kansas City. Additionally, his love of dance and children led him to teach in the NY school system from 2004-2006. Teaching for more than seven years, Ernesto’s strongest passion is to share his fervor for dance with others.


instructor Franck Muhel

Originating from Martinique, Franck has always been inseparable from dance and movement. He brings a dynamic passion and creative energy to every moment of his performances and all of life’’s endeavors. Franck is a highly skilled dancer who trained with Eddie Torres, The Mambo King, whose specialty is “On2” dancing New York style. Serving as Professor and principal dancer in a highly acclaimed New York dance studio, Djoniba Dance Center, Franck’’s colleagues and students knew him as a force of nature. With expertise in styles such as Salsa, Cha Cha, Merengue, Bele, Gwo Ka, Beguine, Mazurka, and Caribbean Dance, Franck enhances people’s lives by teaching all to dance joyously.

Being a world traveler, his following has become international. Franck is electric! He has used his magnetism to tirelessly organize events on the world stage.
